| I took Pam's quiz, and here are the results. haha haven't done 1 of these brainless quizzes in a while, so nice to take a break haha. you can try it yourself if you'd like:
http://www.quizbox.com/personality/test82.aspx
Your view on yourself: You are down-to-earth and people like you because you are so straightforward. You are an efficient problem solver because you will listen to both sides of an argument before making a decision that usually appeals to both parties. The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for: You are a true romantic. When you are in love, you will do anything and everything to keep your love true. Your readiness to commit to a relationship: You are ready to commit as soon as you meet the right person. And you believe you will pretty much know as soon as you might that person. The seriousness of your love: You are very serious about relationships and aren't interested in wasting time with people you don't really like. If you meet the right person, you will fall deeply and beautifully in love. Your views on education Education is very important in life. You want to study hard and learn as much as you can. The right job for you: You have many goals and want to achieve as much as you can. The jobs you enjoy are those that let you burn off your considerable excess energy. How do you view success: You are afraid of failure and scared to have a go at the career you would like to have in case you don't succeed. Don't give up when you haven't yet even started! Be courageous. What are you most afraid of: You are afraid of things that you cannot control. Sometimes you show your anger to cover up how you feel. Who is your true self: You are full of energy and confidence. You are unpredictable, with moods changing as quickly as an ocean. You might occasionally be calm and still, but never for long. | | |
| i had the most random, yet longest and most continuous dream last nite. and i thought that i just HAD to write about it.
disclaimer: please don't question the rationality of this dream. i know it doesn't make any sense... but that's what dreams are all about, right? these people/stories don't make sense, and were just a combo of various people/things i may have encountered or dealt w/ in the last few days.
i started off swimming out in the middle of the ocean w/ a few friends including: -Kevin from BSB (yes, i know, don't laugh), -1 of my previous young cute professors (i almost never find a teacher good-looking, i guess i have that mental barrier already that it'd be inappropriate- student and teacher relationship). -another young girl around my age (don't remember who)
after swimming for a while (ya, i don't really swim either), i suddenly injured myself significantly (hurt my leg), and started drowning b/c i lost consciousness, but not enough to not realize i was drowning. then all of a sudden, my cute prof swam to rescue me. he picked me up and dragged me back to shore. i, of course, thanked him for it...
(some time passed...)
i'm trying to warn everyone that the world is going to end. some evil people were trying to chase us (me, kevin, the prof, and a young little white girl named carissa). in real life, carissa is my friend's bf's daughter, but i also had a roomie w/ a similar name too. so we started running down some very narrow and wind-y stairs (that u'd see in the olden european days- made of black rocks haha). i couldn't really walk, so my prof carried me down (haha i didn't realize i was that light-weight in dreams). then later on, i re-gained the health of my leg and had to defend myself. so i whipped out my karate skills and kicked and defended the bad guy. in fact, i had to save kevin's life- he was held as a hostage w/ a gun by 1 of the bad guys.
(some more time passing...)
i was at carissa's school, and it was picture day. all the kids were dressed up in nice clothing. in my continuous attempts to save the world, i was told that they could not take their class picture, otherwise the world would end. and i had to stop all and ANY cameras from flashing and "clicking" that day. so i 1st stopped by wal-mart and tried to convince the store manager to stop their sales of cameras. while doing so, i saw that Gunther (from Friends) was also trying to do the same thing. but everyone else thought we were crazy! i also tried to warn carissa (who had grown up by now and was tall, for which i commented on), but she also didn't believe me. gah, what does this world need to believe us?!?!
then i think i woke up, haha. i tried to go back to sleep, b/c i wanted to know how it ended! but ugh, it became harder and harder to fall back asleep and go back to the dream. even near the latter parts of this dream, it became harder to piece together, as i started to wake up more frequently.
but regardless, i knew i had to write down what i actually remembered! hope you enjoyed reading my irrational random dream!

| i watched the movie MILK yesterday, on HARVEY MILK: the 1st openly gay man to be elected into a major office (county supervisor). it was pretty good, i was impressed w/ the making of the film. i liked how it would flash back/forward to the actors, and to that time period. so sad though...for mayor mascone & harvey milk (if you don't know, they both get assasinated by the same man).
ever find it REALLLY annoying when the ppl sitting in back of you in the theatre keep kicking your chair? ugh, i swear, old lady... i paid $10 for this, i deserve some decent comfort! i looked back toward, but i guess she didn't really understand my "subtle actions". geeeeez.

| oh, the joys of Florida (the swing state! lol). currently in Ft Lauderdale until Friday! some interesting tidbits i learned & observed about this state:
1. HUUUUGE parking spots & lanes
2. weird freeway/street labels: they use all #s! highway 283, 284, 285, 287... (and of course, i'm looking for 286, and it's not on the map). street names: NW 808 yes...VERY ODD and confusing. my hotel address: NW state street 7.
3. LONG blocks, it'd be a hell of a walk
4. LOTS of retail pharmacies! they are like starbucks, 1 every few blocks! most common are walgreens & CVS. FYI: any to-be pharmacists looking for jobs --> go to FL
5. worldest largest outlet mall here!
6. soooo hot and dry here. and it's only winter too! been super hydrating myself
7. tax: 6.5%... grrrrr to our Alameda County 8.75% tax.
8. very few asians (as expected), but i found a chinese supermarket & restaurant close by! granted, bok choy is $2.69, but hey....better than nothing! i'm impressed! they even had eastern medicine in the store!
more to come about FL's craziness as the week unravels... soaking up the FL sun!
